Lessons on life and death, patience, incubating

Waiting for chicks to hatch especially under difficult or unoptimized circumstances such as with a homemade incubator. More nerve wrecking if it’s one’s first incubation. I learned a great lesson through my impatience – an embryo died in my hands when I performed an egg-topsy after my six hatching eggs long passed their “due date”. This is why permaculture/DIY/homesteading, among their many virtues, is a great tool for learning, psychotherapy, life coaching and meditation/contemplation, like most things in life if one pays attention to the heart of the matter, not just the task at hand.
